Understanding Magic Wands and Staffs
The magic wand/staff is a tool used to direct the user's will and incantation. It is not the wand/staff that works; it is the practitioner.
Depending on the practitioner, tradition and purpose, some wands/staffs are superior to others.
Wands/staffs are commonly used all over the world in magic traditions. A magic wand/staff is used for spiritual and religious ritual purposes as a magic tool.
Wands/staffs are not a necessary requirement for magic; however, they allow us to enter a realm of extremely personal magic with wands/staffs.
Locating a wand/staff:
You can purchase a pre-crafted wand from a skilled artisan wand/staff-crafter to suit your specific desires and needs.
You may receive a new wand as a gift.
You may inherit a wand/staff from a mentor, another practitioner.
Wands/staffs include ash, bamboo, hawthorn, hazel, oleander, peach rowan and willow. Wood which was struck by Lightning is considered packed with power. Driftwood makes an excellent wand; it combines the powers of Earth and sea.
Embellished wands/staffs with charms, feathers, sea glass, seashells or any natural item.
Wands/staffs are not limited to wood; metal wands/staffs are excellent power conductors. Copper is particularly an excellent conductor of energy.
Protect your wand/staff; keep it in a safe place.
For optimum power, keep your wand/staff beside you as much as possible to absorb your energy and desires and harmonize your vibrational energies. You can sleep with your wand for added power.
Wands/staffs should be used in all meditation rituals and prayer.
